Frequently Asked Questions

Everything institutional participants need to know about OCRE's commodity origination platform, physical settlement infrastructure, and compliance framework.

What is OCRE?

OCRE is an institutional-grade B2B platform designed for the physical origination, clearing, and settlement of critical minerals and industrial commodities from the Western Hemisphere. We are not a derivatives exchange — all transactions are proposed to be physically settled with verified chain of custody.

What commodities does OCRE cover?

Rare earth elements (Nd, Pr, Dy, Tb, Ce, La, Sm, Gd, Tm), thorium, niobium, tantalum, columbite ore, cassiterite, ilmenite, copper, aluminum, iron (HBI), tin, titanium, vanadium, gallium, scandium, and heavy energy products (Merey crude).

Who can use OCRE?

OCRE is designed exclusively for institutional participants — commodity trading houses, industrial procurement departments, sovereign wealth funds, defense primes, and Eligible Contract Participants (ECPs) under U.S. law. Individual retail investors are not accepted.

How does physical settlement work?

All transactions on OCRE are proposed to be physically settled. Material is inspected at origin by independent Tier-1 auditors, stored in bonded vaults with IoT monitoring, and delivered against authenticated warrants. Every movement is tracked on distributed ledger for full traceability.

What is GLOFICA DLT?

GLOFICA is our proprietary distributed ledger technology providing post-quantum secured traceability for all commodity movements, warrant issuance, and settlement records. It ensures immutable chain of custody from deposit to final delivery.

How does OCRE handle sanctions compliance?

Every counterparty is screened in real time against OFAC SDN/SSI lists, EU consolidated sanctions, and UN Security Council sanctions. OCRE operates as a compliance-first platform — no transaction executes without full KYC/AML verification.

What are the three business lines?

Spot Market — physical warrants for immediate settlement. Forward Origination — bilateral contracts for future delivery with margin requirements. Venture Board — structured participation in exploration and development projects via OCRE Venture Structuration.

Where are OCRE's physical operations?

Corporate headquarters in Miami, FL. Physical operations hub in Puerto Ordaz, Bolívar State, Venezuela — at the center of the Guayana industrial region with access to HBI facilities, mineral deposits, and Orinoco River deepwater logistics.

How do I register as an institutional participant?

Submit an application through our Contact page. Our onboarding team reviews institutional qualification, ECP status, and compliance documentation. Once approved, you receive access to the OCRE Terminal for pricing, market data, and order management.

What fees does OCRE charge?

OCRE operates on a negotiated pricing model based on reference benchmarks (LME, Baotou RE Exchange, London Metal Bulletin). Fees cover compliance infrastructure, custody, logistics coordination, and platform access. Specific pricing is discussed during the institutional onboarding process.
